My name is Edgar Baltazar, and I am the head coach for the boys volleyball program out here at Immanuel High School in Reedley, CA. We are a 3rd year program and excited to contribute to the growth of boys volleyball out here in the Central Valley.
I wanted to post about our upcoming tournament: our 2nd annual Kings River Varsity Invitational happening March 14th-15th, 2025 here in Reedley, CA. Here's some info:
- This is a CIFCS Division 3 level tournament for those who are wondering.
- Locations: Immanuel High School & Reedley High School in Reedley, CA (sites are 5 minutes apart)
- Pool play on Friday (afternoon) & Saturday (morning), followed by Bracket Play (afternoon)
- Cost is $400/team; first 20 teams registered are in (waitlist after that) -- we have 2 spots left (capping it at 20 teams), but can expand to 24 teams if more teams interested!
- 6 matches guaranteed; 2-out-of-3 format
- CIF Approved Officials
- Gold, Silver, & Bronze brackets (single-elimination)
- Gold & Silver only: 1st & 2nd place teams receive medals
- Coaches/Officials hospitality rooms available at both sites
- Concession stands available both days
We have a couple of teams in the Sac-Joaquin section signed up to compete: El Capitan, Stone Ridge Christian, and Golden Valley. For those who are farther away, but considering: we are working on partnerships (discounted prices) with local hotels to accommodate you and your teams if you decide to do an overnight trip.
